10 Great Japanese Films

So apparently Darling and Honey Bunny have been discussing my taste in films lately. I don't have a problem with that and I'm actually thrilled that they're both interested in some of them! :3 I understand that some of what I watch is not everyones cup of tea, some is only liked by a select few. I've come up with a list that is comprised of a few that I think will have wide appeal.

Ichi:

A Snake Of June.

This is a beautiful but twisted film. The plot revolves around a woman being blackmailed by a nutcase who forces her into performing his perverted fantasies in public places. It's not porn, it is an amazing piece of art. It's presented in these beautiful blue/green hues and it rains for most of the film.

Ni:

Tengoku to jigoku (Heaven and Hell)

The English title of this film is actually High and Low. It was released in 1963, so it could've been a way to deflect notoriety from religious groups. Whatever the case, Akira Kurosawa's vision of the Japanese Hell (Jigoku) is one of the most stunning and haunting things I've ever seen in a film. Way, way ahead of its time and a great film all around.

San:

Ju-On: The Curse

Everyone and their brother knows about The Grudge and that it was based on the Japanese film, Ju-On. What some don't know is that before Ju-On was a theatrical release, it was a made for TV film in the year 2000. This and Ringu (The Ring) launched Black Hair Horror into the public eye and made Takashi Shimizu a sought after horror director.

Yon:

The Happiness of The Katakuris

Takashi Miike is world renowned as one of the kings of modern Japanese cinema. Films like Audition and Visitor Q are known for being strange and brutal, but it doesn't get much more bizarre than this. It's about a family that starts a guest house, but their guests don't survive the night. It's a musical, comedy and horror film rolled into one. I dare you not to enjoy this...

Go:

Suicide Club

Japanese teenagers are killing themselves at an alarming rate. Whole classes jumping in front of trains, off roofs, what is going on?! Is it the Jpop group using subliminal messages? A strange internet bulletin board? A psychotic rock group? Watch and learn. Because the dead shine all night long...

Roku:

Tomie: Rebirth

Darling and Honey Bunny were discussing this last night, so I figured I'd add it. The Tomie films have always been popular, but this one moreso than the rest. With Shimizu directing, a larger budget and better production, it's not hard to see why. Tomie doesn't die, no matter how brutally she's murdered. I won't spoil the end for you, but it leaves room for another chapter... 14 years later, I'm still waiting! XD

Nana:

Angel Dust

Sogo Ishii doesn't get a lot of attention from most Japanophiles, but I'm not most Japanophiles! This is an amazing crime drama from 1994 with enough artistic flair and gore to satisfy any not most Japanophiles or anyone really. Severed hand in the dryer anyone? Weeeee!

Hachi:

Freeze Me

This is one of my favorite films of all time. A woman is living a normal life with a fiance and a decent job. All of a sudden, her past literally shows up at her door. Gang raped as a teenager, her tormentors find her and want to relive past glory. Thrust into survival mode, she has to kill them. But what to do with the bodies? She begins storing them in freezers, but how long can she hold her life together and keep this all hidden?

Kyu:

Bullet Ballet

Shot in black and white (in 1998) Shinya Tsukamoto made and stars in this brilliant piece of action art. It's a fascinating journey of a man who has lost his love and then falls in with a gang of thugs who turn on him, then he seeks revenge.

Ju:

Battle Royale

If you haven't seen this yet, come out from under your rock, goddammit! Kinji Fukasaku's final masterpiece before his death. This is one of the most controversial films of all time. The plot: Children are out of control, they've no respect for authority and the world is in crisis. The solution? Promise them a field trip, gas them and transport them to an island where they get explosive collars strapped to their necks and must brutally kill one another until there's one left. It's powerful, gory and action packed. Must see material.

Early to bed tonight... z.z

So I'm still hurting like hell and more often than not the past few days, I walk like I've been raped with a 5 foot flag dildo. It's a sight, I'll tell you! XD We had a lovely time at Janice's today. Lace had some work to do, but it was fun afterwards! Playing with critters, watching TV/movies, and we ate a lot of food. Janice made homemade pizza for dinner and it was NOM! :3

It's almost like I've been given a new family this year. My mom has completely changed for the better, I've reunited with my darling sister in crazy, got an amazing wife and her parents, animals and now Janice and her husband. I couldn't have dreamed this a year ago... I really and truly am blessed and honestly, I have never had this many people that love and care about me in my life at the same time. Ever.

I didn't get much sleep last night, so I'm gonna double up on the Ambien tonight and hope it helps. It makes me sleepy and puts me to sleep eventually, I just don't stay there. The pain is NOT helping either. Guess we'll see what happens tonight...

Nails by Lacey!

My little nail queen did up my acrylics for me last night! :3 Aren't they amazing?! I need something to decorate these long, boney fingers! XD And yes, that is a Rei original Lolita dress I'm wearing.

I thought I was doing better than yesterday when I woke up this morning, but the pain kicked back in while I was in line at Dunkin Donuts with Laceface this morning. It's reeeeealllly bad! Ten minutes on my feet is torture and I end up just wanting to collapse and die... This is exactly how I was for part of last year. It's not terrible if I'm sitting or lying down, but standing is pretty much a no go right now. Still coming to pick you up, honey bunny! Fear not!

My mom and Sheila will be helping with the move/packing, they're coming for that and dinner on Friday. Mom and Lace are supposed to be going to pick out some furniture on Thursday. Most places deliver fairly quickly, too. It's 2010 all over again!! Weeeee!!!

PAIN!!!!

I've been struggling to even stand up or walk for a few minutes at a time since yesterday. It was probably the Boston trip that did me in, not that I regret doing it or anything. I've been eating pills like crazy, but they only do so much... They induce sleep, but staying there has been difficult. I wake up feeling like I'm stuck and it takes multiple tries to change position. Rinse, cycle, repeat... *Sigh*

Lace has been doing everything she can to get me on her insurance. It's not her fault that the company is slower than retarded molasses. Even when/if that happens, it's still gonna be a process. Consultations, MRIs, then it's a matter of whatever procedure is needed, recovery and praying to Allah that it even works.

Lacey took herself to work so don't worry about me driving. It just sucks because this just slows the moving process down. I could be packing or getting boxes or SOMETHING! Not today. Nope. Just gonna lie here and play video games or whatever... *Eats pills*

Sore wa sugoi!!!

We've had quite a bit of fun since I got out of the nuthouse! Sex, late night gaming, getting a house, sex, and today we had a blast in Boston! :3 And sex! XD

First, yes, we have a new place to call home. This place will always hold memories for me, though. Some of the darkest days of my life happened here, but starting back in January, the clouds lifted and things got very bright. Yes, that is a metaphor, I don't think we had any sun this winter! The greatest thing to ever happen to me occurred here and I will never forget it.

If you saw my honey bunny's post from this morning, you've seen where we're going. It is a beautiful home on a nice chunk of land. To say it's a step up from this place would be the understatement of the fucking century. XD Two bedrooms and we don't have to bicker over who gets to pee first in the morning! Yay! Best of all, I can have my creative space again! Probably the basement or garage instead of the extra bedroom. We may be expecting guests in the fall... ;) All of my belongings that were being held hostage by The Mecha Walrus are in storage at the moment and you can bet your ass I'll have them back within two weeks.

Today we went to Boston and had a hell of a time. If you live in MA for any period of time, you quickly learn that driving into the city on a weekend (or pretty much any day) is for morons. There's never any parking, so you pay out the ass for a parking garage and I just don't. The train station is 5 minutes from here, so we held hands and just walked down.

The Museum of Fine Arts is world renowned and the Hokusai exhibit was phenomenal! I'm not insanely familiar with his work, but I'm now in awe of the beauty that the man created in his 60 year career. We must have stared at the giant wall screen mural for a good 20 minutes, easy. Unfortunately for those of you who can't be here by August, you may be SOL on seeing it. The exhibit isn't on tour and what's there is all part of MFA's collection, it's the biggest outside of Japan.

We needed some air after having the breath drained out of our pretty little lungs, so we toured the Japanese Garden which was just reopened yesterday and it was gorgeous! :3 After that, we saw the 2011 Tsunami/Fukushima photography exhibit which was both beautiful and sad. It contains images from photographers of all ilks. Journalistic, artistic, etc. That is seriously one of the most catastrophic things I've ever seen and the fact that it occurred relatively recently made it hit that much harder. People are still missing, things are still being rebuilt and the Japanese government downplayed how bad it really was...

We looked at some other things besides Japanese stuff. Lace had never seen a real mummy (Brianne's cunt notwithstanding) before, so we looked at those and she was pretty impressed. We covered a good bit of ground, but my back and legs had had it, so we called it a day and came home. I know she wanted to shop and have dinner and stuff, maybe tomorrow. She had clothing waiting for her in the mail, so she's happy. :3

Time for pain killers and pajamas now, then more gaming and sexy time! Lacey got some interesting new panties in the mail... They're like...missing part of the ass. Not like a thong, but it's like a regular pair with most of the back cut out and just a few strands crisscrossing back there. I will do a thorough investigation! Rei, FPI(Freelance Panty Investigator)is on the case! :3

Over und out!

Obscure Reading Adventures!

Some books (Fiction & Non-Fiction) that you may not have heard of, but that are totally worth your time! Lacey got some recommendations from darling the other night and wants to get back to her reading ways, maybe she or someone else will enjoy these!

Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers by Mary Roach

Spook: Science Tackles The Afterlife by Mary Roach

(There are a bunch more that I haven't read! *Clicky Clicky*)

OUT: A Novel by Natsuo Kirino

GROTESQUE by Natsuo Kirino

Real World by Natsuo Kirino

(Some of the most fucked up but necessary fiction I've ever read)

Nightseer by Laurell K Hamilton

Strange Candy by Laurell K Hamilton

(Great fantasy writer and some of the most erotic, without being stupid or cheesy, fiction ever. I'd start with Strange Candy as it's a short story collection and offers a good sampling of her style)

Debunked!: ESP, Telekinesis and Other Pseudoscience by George Charpak

(This is seriously one of the most intersting, eyeopening things I've ever read!)

I Was A Kamikaze by Ryuji Nagatsuga

(Non-Fiction [yes] from 1974, this brought me to tears
more than once while reading it. It's old and hard to find, but so, so worth it.)

The Dragon's Triangle by Charles Berlitz

(Much is made about The Bermuda Triangle, but this makes that triangle look like Disney World. Berlitz is often dismissed as a nut, but all the aviation/nautical reports and ages of disasters and legends in this part of the world don't lie. Personally, I'd recommend just about anything Berlitz has written)

There will be more to come!

Nocturnal History: Mercy Brown & The New England Vampire Panic

This is something else I've decided to bring back and revisit from the early days of NecROSEphelia...

We all know about things like the Salem Witch Trials, a very dark chapter in early American history. But there are things in every corner of the globe that don't often escape local lore or that just get lost in time.

The case of Mercy Brown dates back to a time when many people were still caught between wanting to be enlightened and remaining true to their faith and spirituality. It happened in 1892 in Exeter, Rhode Island and while not the only case of this type, it is one of the most famous and well documented.

Mercy Brown's mother had died of Tuberculosis (known as Consumption back then) followed by her sister in 1888. In 1890, Mercy's brother became ill but actually outlived his sister who succumbed in 1892. This raised a lot of suspicion amongst superstitious locals. What was going on with this family? Why were they and others around them getting sick and dying? Maybe they're coming back from the dead and preying on the living! Yes! That must be it!

There had been cases prior to this many years before in Vermont and Connecticut. What are now known to be Tuberculosis victims dug up and thought, because they weren't decomposing at a "normal" rate, as well as having blood remaining in their hearts, growing fingernails/hair (Which is actually untrue. They don't grow, it's the skin retracting, revealing what lies beneath.) to be vampires.

There were several ways that vampires were dealt with that ranged from simply flipping the body from its back to its stomach to removal of "fresh" organs and decapitation. Often, the organs would be burned and relatives or those close to the vampire (thought, at the time, to be the most obvious feeding choices) would inhale the smoke or consume water containing the ashes of the organs to be cured. In Mercy's case, her brother was given the latter treatment. He died two months later.

Mercy's case is rumored to have actually inspired the creation of Lucy in Dracula. Bram Stoker had supposedly read of her in newspapers. Whether that's true or not, I don't know. Mercy wasn't a vampire, none of them were. She'd been kept in an above ground tomb following her death, which was in January. The cold New England winter obviously slowed decomposition, as I'm sure was probably true in some of the other cases.

We romanticize the hell out of things like this these days and don't often think about the fact that in these myths and legends, there is always some truth. This was a cruel way to die and was all too common back then. Losing loved ones is hard enough, but to have accusations such as this hurled at you and your relatives corpse defiled had to be maddening.

I've been to Mercy's grave, as well as many other famous and not so famous graves and historical sites in New England and it's almost always a humbling experience. I can't imagine living in those times. All of you who think you would should pull yourselves away from the books and TV shows and read ACTUAL history and see how much you'd like it afterward.

Uh Oh...

I'm baaaack!!!!

As you can see, I got mah hur did again! Mom found me that Cheshire Cat usamimi somewhere, I dunno. Got pills, went to lunch where I took that photo and here I iz!

Ugh, what a fucking week!

First, thank you, darling. For looking in on Lacey and keeping her company, for texting with me and making me laugh and for just being your awesome fucking self! :3 *HUGS*

Equally, thank you to my amazing wife for coming to see me in a looney bin every day. I know people make you uncomfortable and crazy people must be worse... You are the sweetest, most thoughtful girl ever! :3 You have no fucking idea how much I've missed you and I can't wait for you to get home tonight!

I'm on the right path now. I'm on better meds, got a therapy and psych appointment lined up and am just in a better frame of mind. I'm sorry for cutting our trip short, Lace/In-laws. Hopefully we'll be able to do it again sometime soon.

Brianne, you're fucking dead if I ever see you again. I'll leave your ugly, rotting carcass somewhere desolate but open. Maybe the smell of decay can finally overpower that of the rotting fish guts that eminates from that worn out jack in the box between your legs. Decay: For that unfresh feeling! (TM)

So good to be home! I've got my hamster and Lady O back with me! :3 Littlefoot must've been in heaven at my mom's house. "Two MORE lesbians?!" *Hamster wank* XD

Will probably post more laterz. Gotta put stuff away and do something about this stubbly, hairy twat of mine before Lace gets home. Did I say that outloud? Ah, fuck it!

Adventures in Retardia...

So I told darling about a little "friend" I had some years ago back home. Those of you who remember the early days of my old blog may remember it. That is just the tip of the iceberg, though... You see, my mom is a special education teacher, that's what she did for years and years before The Walrus broke her. She worked at a school just for these clowns of nature. Me being me, there were many times when she took me to work with her. It wasn't by choice, that's for damn sure. She knew about TP Syrupgate and was less than thrilled... No, I went with her because she didn't trust me to be home alone. Whether it be that I was having a bad mental spell, coming off dope or whatever, she should've just left me there...XD

I went one time in 2007 while I was getting over losing Timothy. I was supposed to stay in the teachers lounge and just watch TV or play GBA or whatever, no tard interactions allowed. (For clarity, the incident I've spoken about was in 2004) Well, there is no smoking in that building and I needed one, so I went outside and it just so happened that it was recess time in Retardia. (Yes, they have that) I like to play outside, too, ya know!

I went over to the playground and walked around a bit. They're an unsettling bunch, I'll tell you. All those warped, partially functioning minds slowly cranking behind their creepy eyes, it's a bit unnerving. I broke away from the main pack and came across two  twenty-somethings (It's hard to tell, really) who were sitting on a planter. One was male, the other female, I found out that they were a couple. I was curious as to what a retarded couple was like, so I started asking questions.

I found out that they were like any other couple, going on dates and stuff. However, they had not had sex yet. No time like the present! I answered their questions about sex in graphic detail, getting giggles and "Ew! Gross!" to every other thing I said. Then I proposed that they just do it.

They wouldn't go for it at first, they didn't wanna get in trouble and God wanted them to wait for marriage. *Eyeroll* I told them no one would see if they went in the bushes and that God wouldn't be mad as long as they didn't get totally naked. Stupid, but they bought it. They went into the woods and I followed a bit to make sure they actually were gonna do it. I heard giggling and some unintelligible talk, but then there were those lovely sucking sounds and the unmistakeable cries of a girl's lost virginity.

I distanced myself from them and ran to the aid or whoever she was and said "Those two went into the woods! Don't you pay attention?!" She ran over and found them, I'm assuming they were finished. Three more teachers/aids dragged them out, still partially unclothed and they were getting the third degree.

I was later approached by the aid I'd alerted and they'd snitched me out. I told her that I didn't TELL them to do anything, that they kept asking things because they really wanted to do it.

Aid: What did you tell them?

Me: Nothing specific, I tried to be vague!

Aid: Okay. I'd better not find out you're lying.

Me: Wait. They were actually doing it?!

Aid: Yes.

Me: Did they use protection?

Aid: Oh god...

*Smirk*

This spoke to me...

I had nothing to do with the taking of this photo. Lacey took it last fall while she was feeling blue. She intended it to be artsy, but I saw it and found so many different things that it says about her hidden in it. She's got artistic talent beyond nail art, not that that's any small feat or lesser art form than any medium I use, and I'd really like to help her hone them more. She let me name the photo "Petals At Her Feet."

:3

Rei~

Why?

Lacey holds a lot of things in, a lot of it is pain and heartache caused by asshole people. As I've said in the past, it is not my place to drag our personal conversations out into the open or share painful details about her life without permission or allowing her to do so when she is good and ready. I just wanna say that some of the things that have been done to her in her young life are beyond cruel. Yes, her scumbag ex tried to kill her and raped her and her brother-in-law is a pig, but a lot of the things she's told me about were actually done by females. If she wants to post about them or whatever, she will. However, I DO have permission to talk about something that happened recently. Here goes:

As you know, she has a huge fear of men. She does not like going out in public alone, save for a few places that she's comfortable and familiar with. One of those places is GameStop. She loves video games almost as much as cute clothing, nail polish and animals. In my own experience, just about every GS employee has been male. I've run into some chicks here and there, but they don't seem to last long. Lacey is friends with a lot of the guys at various stores in MA, one named Drew, in particular.

A month or so ago, he told her that he was getting married and invited her to his wedding. She told him about me and I was invited, too. She spent almost $200 buying us dresses for this event. Well, Lace and I went Easter shopping together and ended up getting each other games. We shopped separately and while she was picking out my stuff, he started flirting with her.

If it was just that, I (and probably her, too) could have let it go. GameStop has security cameras all over the place, so thankfully he couldn't get away with too much, but he caressed her ass and kept asking her to fuck him before the wedding, that he'd always wanted her. She kinda knew he had a thing for her and she'd even given thought to going out with him a couple times before she met me. Somehow, she kept her composure and was able to bullshit him into thinking that she'd consider it. She let one of the other employees wait on her and now she's been carrying this shit around along with everything else...

So, why? Why can't people just be happy with what they have? This asshole has a woman ready to shack up with him for life and he's willing to throw it away for a night with MY wife? Why couldn't you have just been her friend?! She is so fucking hurt over this and losing yet another "friend". She doesn't ever wanna go back to that store again and she's paranoid as all hell about going ANYWHERE alone right now.

She has never hurt anyone. People say that a lot, but with her it's the actual truth. She has never betrayed anyone! She always puts other people before herself, and shit, she's nice to people who treat her like dirt! Why, why the fuck does such a good person get shit on at every turn?! I know, nice guys finish last, all that. But finishing last and being forced to live in fear because all people do is hurt and molest you are two different things.

I promise, honey bun, I'll never leave your side again... I can't bear to see you hurt, upset or scared and if this prick tries anything else, he's gonna have problems. Whatever it takes, we're gonna get you better. Even if it means starting fresh somewhere else. The hand you've been dealt in this life is so bad and unfair and I would feel all the pain for you if I could. I love you and would lay down my life before I would let anyone ever do anything bad to you again. :3

And just an update on another of her tormentors, Brianne is getting nothing when her parents die. Everything goes to Lace, same with her uncle. There are people who love you, honey bun. It's just a shame that you don't get equal returns for all the love you give. I'm gonna go keep her warm and safe now. :3

Rainbow Hime goes to Michigan!

Having finally recovered from her wedding night, the cutest space traveler in the galaxy finds herself on a picnic in Michigan!

Rainbow is ready to surprise Lacey-chan!

Rainbow, out of Kawaii Space Pellets (TM) is looking for Earth food.

At the picnic, Lacey-chan makes Rainbow happy with delicious food!

After their picnic, Rainbow and Lacey ran into a girl Lacey once knew, and she was not so nice. Rainbow posed for a picture with her, then edited her out!

Seriously, that last part is true. We ran into a girl Lace went to high shool with and that she used to be friendly with. She was all nice and shit at first, but then she saw us holding hands and how close we were, then a bunch of slight-of-word comments started coming out. You know, someone insulting you and being obviously fake to your face. If you wanna say something, just fucking say it. Ugh.

And yeah, I went a bit overboard with the wig decor. That thing weighed a ton! XD

Rei~

The coolest lenses EVAR!

So you've seen me in my Disney lenses and several other types of circle lenses that give that doll look. If you've been to Lacey's blog, I'm sure you've seen her wearing them, too. She has many, many more pairs than I and she just put on some that I hadn't seen prior to just now. These are seriously the most fucking amazing pieces of eyewear I've ever seen! This girl just continues to elevate the definition of cute! :3

STARS!!!! That is NOT Photoshop or any sort of trickery, the lenses have fucking stars in them! *Dies*

She puts on her makeup, earrings, etc not long after she wakes up, but we're both still in our pajamas right now:

She's owls, I'm penguins. She got me these just for our trip. :3

I mean, no! She made me wear them! The Queen of Darkness does not wear zeh penguinz!

Kawaii ne?!?! I love them!

Flowers in Watercolor for Mommy # 2!

This is what I came up with for Amelia (Lacey's mom/mommy in-law). She loves it and promised she'd frame it and have it on the wall before I left. :3 Might make her something else later this week. We're gonna have a pretty easy, quiet day today. The only plans are that we're going to Lacey's uncle's house for a visit and dinner this afternoon. Should be fun! He sounds awesome and I wanna see the animals! I'm not getting on any fucking horse, though... XD

Initial impressions...

So we've been here just a few hours and I'm in love with this place! Lacey's parents are some of the nicest, warmest people I've ever met in my life! I was family before they said a word to me. :3 This town is very beautiful, too! Lacey's dad took me the scenic route home so I could take some of it in. There are several little shops downtown that I'm itching to check out, namely a couple little arts & crafts type places. Today will probably be a mostly quiet day, Lace and I are both tired and sore. Her parents have a few nicknames for her, but "Lacey Em" (her middle name is Emily) is my favorite.

It's now completely apparent to me on how Lacey is the fabulous, kind, gentle soul that she is. She's cut from some amazing cloth. I keep calling them by their first names or Mr./Mrs. Irwin and they want to be mom and dad. Lace and I were snuggling on the couch while waiting for breakfast and when MOM brought it in, she said "You two are adorable. I've had a hard time picturing it, but that anyone could hate this makes me sick." Acceptance. :3

BTW, this is Lace at 3:30 this morning:

Life is just not fair... :p

And some luggage:

That's my stuff. Some asshole put his foot in my shot!

Okay, time to snooze, yo.

Sayonara...

Oh, don't get all wishy washy! I'll be posting tomorrow night or Saturday, most likely! ^^ I've been very stressed about this trip since last night. I'm not scared that something will happen to the plane or anything, moreso about what Lacey's family will think about me and how I'll be received. I've been taking a lot of pain/anxiety meds today both for their intended purposes and to slow my head down a bit. I've also had some alcohol.

Said bye to my mom on the phone and in person, the animals have been dropped off where they need to be, mail will be put aside for us, rent is paid, everything is in order. All that's left to do is finish packing my bags and we'll be ready. We're leaving at 4:30 AM and while the flight isn't crazy long, I should be plenty tired and sore when we land.

I'm sure sleep won't come easy right away, it never does in unfamiliar places. I'm sure I'll hear some Michigan noise I've never heard before... XD People playing hockey at 3:00 AM or something. :p Will update the blog, Twitter, and text darling ASAP.

Until then,

Over. And. Out.

Knocking them down and stacking them up...

I realize that is in reverse order and I've done it on purpose. I've got a bad habit (many, but roll with me here) of buying too many video games and not finishing all of them. I usually at least START most of them, but I've had some for months that I've hardly scratched the surface on. I don't know, maybe I'm waiting for the rainy day that doesn't end or involve using the bathroom or eating. Personally, I think I'm just a hoarder... Oh, right, "collector" is more PC. Gomen.

I've been better about this recently, I must admit. I'm not completely inundated with games at present, what I own is doable. But Lacey has many, many that I wanna play and I'm afraid of going on a PS3/Wii spending spree to play what she doesn't have! I've really been trying to just play what I have for the Wii U at the moment.

Here is a list of what I'm working on and what I've completed recently:

Finished:

New Super Mario Bros. U

Super Mario 3D World

Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor's Edge (Main Story)

Assassin's Creed 3 (Main story. If you have 100% complete, you need to bathe now)

Splinter Cell: Blacklist (Only 3 side missions incomplete)

Working on:

Resident Evil Revelations

Fire Emblem, Donkey Kong Country, Final Fight 3, Mario Pinball, Super Mario 64 (Wii U Virtual Console)

The list of VC games also includes Dr. Mario and Street Fighter Alpha 2. You download them for a fee from Nintendo's eshop and play them from the hard drive. I just sorta pluck at them every now and then.

I've got more games sitting dormant at the moment, including Assassin's Creed IV, Call of Duty Ghosts, Monster Hunter 3, etc. Yes, I AM married. XD

The cold grip of death...

That's what I feel like, anyway. I took Lace to work and was still tired when I got back. I layed down and took a nap until about noon. When I woke up, I felt all lightheaded and woozy. Then my head/sinuses started filling up and my body hurt all over. I took a few pain pills, but got no relief... *Sigh*

I had my mom bring my cutie home because I was in no shape to drive. Just been watching TV and I started playing my new Resident Evil game, which is absolutely incredible! :3

That's me looking very Cousin It-ish after I woke up from my nap. The sunglasses were put on to add that effect. :p All the curl/wave disappeared from my hair... :/

Almost time for RAW, then more gaming and bed. I hope this is just a today type of thing. I MUST be better for Friday!

See Me In Shadow (Album ver.)+ Lyrics & Some cool pics

Standing in the shadow of our lies

To hide our imperfections

Doing anything we can to hide

Eyes wide open but still blind

To see what really matters

And insecurity won't go

See me in shadow

Standing by the ruins of your soul

That cries for some more meaning

Wondering when you have

Become so cold

Chorus:

So cold

And all the pictures of your past are gone

So cold, so cold

Forget yourself

And who you are

Another life is not that far

Standing by the paintings of your dreams

But you have awoken

And all the purples and the greens

Have turned to black

And the ruins of your soul

Have died, no more meaning

I wonder when you have Become so cold

Repeat chorus

Not that far

Industrial Waste - The Rise & Fall of Darkest Labyrinth

Darkest Labyrinth had its humble beginnings as a VA (Various Artists) album in 2007. Its purpose was to showcase lesser known artists from Japan's Goth scene. It was an incredible album, one of the best compilations ever in the eyes of many. Along with the Japanese contingent, there was a song by a Greek act known as Virgins OR Pigeons that had opened for BLOOD on a few dates in Europe. Kiwamu was huge on them as well as a lot of little known Japanese and worldwide industrial acts.

When BLOOD released their LES FLEURS DU MAL album later that year, it contained 8 songs and 4 industrial remixes, including one by Kiwamu himself. Kiwamu and BLOOD had done plenty of experimentation with electronic music, including using an electronic/mechanical drum for every song they'd ever done. Not long after, BLOOD would announce their 3rd concept series, Symphony of Chaos. Rather than simply telling a story or basing music on famous poetry, this completely reshaped the band as they moved from Goth Rock to Industrial.

Virgins OR Pigeons also had a release in 2007 in Place No Reliance. Being that Kiwamu's connections and resources hadn't yet expanded, the album got little attention and sold poorly. VOP stuck with Kiwamu doing remixes for BLOOD releases, but were incredibly upset at how poorly they were received and had a falling out with Kiwamu. They moved on to the European scene where Industrial music is more known and followed.

With VOP on the way out, Kiwamu already had their successor in the wings in an Australian DJ who went by Gothique Prince Ken. GPK debuted for Kiwamu on BLOOD's DEAD-HEARTED EP, with an amazing remix of the title track. Supposedly, a 4 track demo version of GPK's first EP, Sublimis, was released around the same time, but I've never seen it anywhere. The actual release of that disc would sell out in preorders and eventually make GPKISM bigger than Kiwamu's main band, BLOOD.

Darkest Labyrinth debuted as a label with the release of BLOOD's two disc THE REAPER BEHIND ME album in 2008. The second (bonus) disc once again featured remixes from around the globe and it soon became evident that Kiwamu was going global with this label. He signed acts like Spectrum-X and Noir du'Soleil and assisted with music writing/guitar parts and even some Japanese lyrics here and there. All the while he had to help keep GPKISM going and kept signing new acts. A busy man indeed, too busy, apparently.

Like VOP, Spectrum-X and Noir du'Soleil were flops in terms of sales. VOP had already become vocal about Kiwamu, saying they'd been made all sorts of promises that didn't pan out, etc. Nullifer (Spectrum-X) joined in and so did some others. Add to that that GPK had hit a creative snag, forcing Kiwamu to write 6-7 of the last GPKISM songs and the endless barrage of bullshit from the internet, and he'd had it.

GPKISM didn't break up over a scuffle they had on Facebook. It ended because Kiwamu was sick of doing all the work for a project with someone elses name on it. "It was becoming Kiwamuism." One only has to look to where GPK is now to know that the man has questionable work ethic and little creative drive.

After GPKISM fell apart in 2010/11, Darkest Labyrinth began to quickly fall with it. Kiwamu wanted nothing to do with working with foreign artists anymore, he even publicly said so. Acts like Vanished Empire, Seileen, BESPA KUMAMERO, HimemaniK, and marlee went dormant or broke up and it became apparent that BLAM HONEY was a one shot deal. Even the short-lived reboot of BLOOD was on Starwave Records, Kiwamu's Visual Kei label that still continues today.

Darkest Labyrinth is all but dead these days. VELVET EDEN and Rose Noire are the only active bands left on the label and who knows how long before DADA has another change of heart. Even the online shop dropped Darkest Labyrinth from the name, though, it's still the URL.

Industrial music is a genre of ups and downs, bands come and go all the time. Put that into a music scene that sees bands disband, change lineups and musical styles like there's no tomorrow and you have a recipe for failure. Kiwamu stretched himself too thin and had far too much working against him. It's too bad. I watched it grow from nothing and had hope that this would prosper and standout in a music scene that is severely lacking in originality.

Rei-

I know it's a joke, but...

Look at this. Yeah, it's a stupid April Fools joke that's just made to poke fun at the selfie crazed world. It went viral and is now all over the media. Am I just THAT perverted, or have we just given tech dweebs the spank toy of their dreams? I don't doubt that there's already something like this in existence, but have we just taken a flamethrower to a natural gasline here? Think about how many women could have upskirt pictures taken without knowing it. Yeah, boys, no more mirrors on your shoes, reaching under with your phone, just walk up and snap one...

This is not fucking paranoia. You hear about people getting caught putting cameras in toilets and fitting rooms all the time and those are just the ones that GET CAUGHT! You can find millions of pictures and videos of unsuspecting women all over the net. Maybe it is paranoia, but it's not entirely unfounded. There's a difference between little starlets getting their iPhones hacked and this shit. You chose to take your dirty selfies, there are many more women who didn't get that luxury.

And the digital age rolls on...
